The mission of Nash-Edgecombe Economic Development is to promote and work for those activities or programs that are necessary or desirable:

for advancing the general welfare of low-income people
to promote self-sufficiency
to increase self-worth of those served and those serving
to protect and enhance individual dignity by means of
providing training, resources, and opportunities through
services and non-service strategies in an effort to eliminate poverty.

Nash-Edgecombe Economic Development, Inc. is a non-profit private corporation and operates a variety of programs funded by federal, state and/or local governments.
